Size Guide
Size Guide
Clear measurements for modern menswear. Use this guide to choose refined fits across suits, shirts, knitwear, trousers, outerwear, footwear, and accessories.
Measured, not complicated.
Monthera sizing is built around clean proportion, steady comfort, and modern daily movement.
For tailoring, the shoulder should feel defined without pulling. For shirts and knitwear, the chest should allow easy motion without looking loose. For trousers, the waist should sit naturally and the leg should fall cleanly over footwear.
Defines the line.
The seam should sit close to the natural shoulder point without dropping heavily down the arm.
Allows movement.
Buttoned tailoring or shirts should feel controlled, not strained across the front.
Controls shape.
Trousers should sit securely with enough room for seated comfort and daily motion.
Finishes proportion.
Sleeves, hems, and outerwear length should support a sharp, balanced silhouette.
Five points for a cleaner fit.
Use a flexible measuring tape and keep the tape level. Measure over light clothing for the most useful result.
Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape flat across the back and relaxed under the arms.
Measure from shoulder point to shoulder point across the back. This is especially important for suits, shirts, and coats.
Measure around the natural waist, or where you prefer trousers to sit. Keep the tape comfortable, not tight.
Measure from the crotch seam to the desired trouser hem. Compare with a trouser you already wear often.
Stand on paper, mark heel to longest toe, and measure the distance. Use the larger foot when between sizes.

Size guide FAQ.

What should I do if I am between two sizes?
Choose the smaller size for a sharper tailored profile, or the larger size if you prefer more room for layering and daily movement.
Which measurement matters most for suits?
Shoulder and chest are the most important starting points. Jacket length and sleeve length refine the final proportion.
Should outerwear fit larger than shirts or knitwear?
Outerwear should allow space for the layers worn underneath. Choose your regular size for a clean profile or size up for heavier layering.
